FAQs: Everything to Know Before Your Visit
How long to tour the museum?
It takes roughly 2 - 3 hours to see it all.
Are you open year round?
No, Historic Attractions closes in January and will reopen in the beginning of April. Historic Attractions used those months to renovate, add or change out exhibits.
How does the owner acquire these items?
He looks at auctions to purchase artifacts and cars. Some items or exhibits have been donated like Miss. Belvedere, or on loan like the NASA exhibit. Wayne Lensing, owner, has been collecting for over 25 years, starting with his purchase of Howard Huges' car.
What's parking like?
We have a large, fully paved, parking lot adjacent to the museum building.
Can school groups come in?
YES! We are starting to see our local schools take advantage of what is in their backyard.
Do you have mobility vehicles?
Yes. We have a collection of mobility scooters for you to use. But please refrain from doing burnouts in them.
Can a group of 2 come in for a private tour?
The museum is a self guided tour. We do host private tours, but for groups of 10 or more people. We do have a Chief Historian available on Saturdays. He would be able to answer any questions you may have on exhibits or artifacts.
When are the Cruise Nights?
Cruise Nights are the second Wednesday's in the months of May-September. Cruise Nights are growing bigger and better than ever! DJ Joe Locke, bringing you some music, different food trucks to try and cool cars.
When is final admission?
Last admin for the museum is at 4:00 PM
Will Discount Days continue?
Historic Attractions will have Discount Days during the entire season of 2026! Every Wednesday, all admission tiers will be $8 off.
Are the animals real?
Yes, the animals are real however they are not alive. If you notice a "Night at the Museum" event, please notify our staff immediately.
